Mardi Gras

laissez les bon temps rouler!

Do yourself a favor and line up a little festive Carnival ruckus at your house tonight. Winter is finally over, the heatwave begins today and we've got King Cakes and Trace Bundy cocktails. What's not to love? If it weren't for this dang pandemic we'd have a band blowing horns off the balcony and dancing in the streets.... I promise the biggest street party ever to y'all once this whole thing passes.

Speaking of dancing in the street, City Council is starting to discuss the Main Street closure for the warm months in Louisville. They are having an Economic Vitality Meeting this Friday and this is on the agenda. Last year all of our write- ins and support somehow didn't add up to a vote in favor of continuing the street closure through winter. I think maybe some of the mail-in ballots got lost. Let's let them hear our voices and input again this year. I am a patriot and I adore our democracy and I love our town. Let's make sure City Council hears us loud and clear this time. Email Council@louisvilleco.gov now with your thoughts. A simple letter stating your desire to see Main Street closed to traffic and open for restaurant seating temporarily during these tough times will suffice. Our city leadership needs to adopt an open mind to change and a willing ear to listen to the needs and desires of its citizens. I urge you to take a moment and write.

Let's hear a little Mike Scott & Friends this morning..... He sang his heart out one warm night in Lyons at Folks Fest and had the whole crowd singing along. Was anyone at that show?
