Covid Vaccine Update
We are still reeling from our lost dream of the farm in Lafayette....thank you for all of your support. There will be another farm, maybe right here in Louisville. If you have ideas, please shoot them over.
I was reading about Neil Young and Joni Mitchell both pulling out of Spotify. Apparently Neil told them that either they pull Joe Rogan or he's out. Spotify sided with Joe (for the money). Yesterday Joni joined Neil and pulled out. They felt that Joe's misinformation around Covid is hazardous to the public.
I wanted to communicate our position on the vaccine. As of today Moxie is 100% vaccinated (barring medical exemptions). We believe that this is the right move to keep our customers, staff and community safe. To say that this has caused upset would be an understatement. I am not sure how science, politics, religion and gun rights got caught up in this argument together, but if I'm looking specifically at science I am going with the vaccine. Do I trust the government? Hell no. Do I want the government to tell me what to do with my body? Hell no. However, the evidence is clear that the vaccine will help to reduce the hospitalization of folks who get infected and help to get us out of this mess.
How did the far right capture the hearts and minds of the far left? I want to blame YouTube and really convincing (if not disbarred) doctors and "experts" making really convincing videos about Covid and the vaccine. There are people who are stating that covid is being placed on the tip of the q-tip that is put up your nose when you get tested for covid. There are people arguing that it is unnatural and unhealthy and irresponsible to put something up your nose and that they'd never do it for that reason (maybe some of these people put rolled up 20 dollar bills up their nose at Bonnaroo at some time, but that was different I reckon).
Anyway, Moxie is vaccinated.

There are still tickets for the Slovenian Dinner at The Mercantile Cafe in Jamestown on February 5th. This is a fundraiser for the Marshall Fire and will be out of this world. If you have never heard Matej talk about wine, let alone wine from his homeland, you need to. Reach out to them directly for tickets. jamestownmercantile.com
I better squeeze this one in before it's February....I remember playing the ever loving heck out of this album when I first discovered it. I think I like these guys so much in part because they are so positive in their lyric and general outlook. They should write a kids album (but that is usually reserved for former punk rockers).
