So Much Greatness Ahead

So much to say, so much going on. Spring sprang like asparagus bursting through the earth and it is already hot out. What the actual F? Just when you thought winter was taking too long, summer comes along and kicks you in the pants with it's furnace blast and you long for cooler times like that dog with its jowl sprawled out on the cool smooth cement at the bottom of the basement stairwell.

We are sorting out our schedules and dropping dates in for all sorts of fun shenanigans across the county. There's a local artisan craft faire coming this month to Louisville, Enion Pelta is preparing a violin recital and jam later this month in Louisville as well. In Lyons we are scheming Night Grass during the 50th Annual RockGrass with our heroes at Planet Bluegrass where we will be offering late night concerts after the festival lets out. Nick Forster is helping to put together a ridiculous line-up for these special concerts that is starting to feel like a fantasy football team pick.

It was wonderful to be a part of the Coal Creek Elementary Spring Carnival last week and get to see so many of you on that beautiful spring afternoon and feed you pizza. Our community is strong and the healing is happening. 39 families at Coal Creek lost their home, and to witness the school and community come together and listen to music and play games and watch their teachers get dunked was amazing. We will be hosting a good old fashioned pizza party in Louisville soon, so watch out for more info on ticket sales soon. We've been sprucing up the back patio and it's looking lovely. I can't wait to throw pizza into the night sky and jam with y'all real soon.

Covid can officially kiss my arse. Frankly I don't care what plans it has for us, because we are just moving forward and getting on with it. The show must go on. We are pumped as we plot out a summer full of great things. Let me know if you have any ideas for us, otherwise stay tuned for lots of good food, love and community.

Have you ever thought that you might want to be a part of the dream team with us at Moxie? Well, good news...we are looking to add a few more helping hands to the crew as we prepare for a busy summer. Baristas- we are looking at you.... come on down! Experienced preferred, but positive attitude required. Come help pour joy into every tulip in every latte with us. It's funny because it's really only a cup of coffee, but sometimes it can change your day. Reach out to us in person or respond to this email if you'd like to learn more.

It is a double coupon Wednesday with Waxahatchee and Jason Isbell. These guys played Red Rocks last week and made some beautiful music. I have not been able to stop listening to Waxahatchee since then. Here's a sweet cover of a sweet Lucinda song.
