The Return of Magic
It can be elusive, sometimes it is hard to notice when magic starts to bubble up through the ground beneath our feet, but yesterday I felt it and looked around and saw other people slipping into it too.
Was it the music? Wendy and Josh who have not been around for ages it seems, or Will & Laura finally playing some song after the fire....
Whatever it was, it happened and we are going to make sure it continues to happen. Back in the early days of Moxie we'd jam in every nook and cranny of Moxie like it was New Years Eve almost every Friday night. You never knew who might show up, or what we might be playing, but we felt like we were holding onto a flying carpet some of those nights. Pat looked at me yesterday and said something like, "man, this feels like the old days".
Thank you for coming out to support our fire fundraiser. So many new faces and beloved friends. Sahra and her crew from Love For Lily brought truckloads of clothing, diapers, tampons, home health and beauty products and more. Fjallraven also donated tons of jackets, backpacks and clothing. It was a huge success and we will do another day like this in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
And Goddess Gave Snuggles....lots of snuggles....aka Sage.
Thank you Kevin, Seth, Marcus, Tessa, Rick and Pippa for helping serve up some yummy pizza (made with our own home grown wheat!!!) We raised another couple thousand dollars!
Councilman Caleb Dickenson hung out and shared his time with us as well, and as always his kind heart and great humor.
