The Gods are all here. Because the Gods are in us.

I got an early text yesterday from Jesse asking if I could meet him early because he woke up early and hit the road before sun up. Jesse helps our farmer friend Sarah Jones up in the San Luis Valley and he was coming down the hill to pick up some grain to deliver to Barton Springs Mill down in Texas. Luckily I had been up for hours already for no good reason, so I said "let's do this...I'll hop on the forklift and get you loaded early".

Jesse and I were chatting while loading the truck about books and poetry, as one does. Just before he was about to leave I gave him a book to read...Bob Quinn's Grain by Grain. He stopped and gave us this poem. It was a magical moment that transformed our day. Thanks Jesse.

Brand New Ancients

It reminded me of how much I loved Pennylane and how much I miss a day like this which I remember having on a regular basis at Pennylane a long time ago. Maybe we should start a poetry session of our own. Anyone?

We never talk shop anymore...so let's talk pastry and love and lube and Valentines Day! To break the ice, we are going to introduce a touchy subject....female moisturizer. I know...don't blame me...I'm just the messenger here....we are trying to support our friends who started this amazing little company right here in them thar hills outside of Boulder. It is called Lark Love.

Here's a little something from the owners:

WE’RE LARK LOVE AND WE ALREADY LOVE YOU.We’re long-time friends on a mission to give vaginas the respect and care they deserve. We brought together our skills as a clinical herbalist (Corrie) and a chef (Rainbow) to formulate luxurious intimate care products and build a company that celebrates and de-stigmatizes the female body. Because we love you so much, we’ve formulated all of our products with pure ingredients that are safe and luscious for your body.
You’re that important.

Check out their video...extra credit if you can name the Brit doing the voice over. Watch video HERE
