Knife Sharpening TODAY

Swing by our Louisville shop today and bring your best knives to get sharpened. Our buddy Devin is bringing up his knife wagon to pistol whip your favorite little blades into shape. The timing is great for anyone who has purchased one of the Japanese knives we've been selling for the past few months. We are going to get Devin to come out to all stores on a regular basis. Just come down from around noon- 3 and drop your knives off, grab a coffee and get your knife returned to you after your cup o Joe.

Behold a white horse. I can't wait to tell you what has been cooking this week, but I'll drop a little teaser our there for now...a group of inspired bakers has been working away together to innovate with whole grains, perennial grains, local and regional grains and have been pushing the limits of what is possible with a more healthful wholesome approach to baking with 100% whole grain. We have 2 more days left. Here's a couple of photos to prime the pump. Check out the colored wheat that we are working with below. Also 100% wholegrain sourdough bagel, with some special cream cheese made with fermented Jerusalem artichoke and black garlic.

Then I made a new friend, Rocky. We went for a bareback moonlight walk last night among the tulips in Skagit Valley with the barn cat in tow....
