Le Menu for Easter
Here's our offerings for Easter weekend! Did we mention that we brought on a chocolatier? His name is John...Johnny Sugar to be more specific. John is a native of New Zealand, but has studied chocolate all over the world and is now gracing us with his chocolaty presence. For Easter we are rolling out the beginning of our new chocolate program.
John has created some golden nugget filled Easter Eggs by tumbling caramel in a light chocolate and adding some gold color. These little nuggets reside inside of a hollow egg. Break egg open for added joy and yum up the whole thing.
We will also feature an Easter Bunny.
We are also hosting an Easter Lego Contest for kids aged 12 and under. Winner takes a Moxie made solid 3 lb Lego man home. Send us a video or photo of your Lego creation and some explanation of what you came up with. Our all star panel (TBA) will vote on the winner. The theme is "Colorado in Spring". Due date Saturday April 3'rd, winner announced on Easter.
I think I may have started with dessert first...but moving on...we also have a ham dinner featuring Sliced River Bear City Ham ( Berkshire pork smoked in Denver with pecan and peach wood ) , roasted organic Colorado potatoes with herbs and garlic, mixed spring veggies. Organic greens salad with Point Reyes blue cheese, apples and toasted almonds.
And of course what would Easter be with our special Hot Cross Buns? Featuring candied fruit made in house and a special dipping sauce borrowed from our cinnamon rolls.
Not to mention our Gruyere Mac n Cheese made with Pastificio heirloom wheat pasta with gruyere cheese sauce and herbed breadcrumbs and a convenient 4 pack of our King Eggs all ready to take home for that morning yum solution.
