Tin Snips, Bailing Wire & Persistence

What an amazing little night we had at E-Town on Thursday. Sturtz set the stage with some of the sweetest harmonies, and the powerhouse of love from our chef crew of Daniel Ascher, Rainbow Shultz, Maurizio Negrini and Jen Bush was silly. We are plotting another event in about a month with E-Town. Stay tuned.

We've got another pizza party Sunday with our friends at Escoffier Institute of Culinary Arts. There are still some seats available. You can find them HERE.

Menu sneak peek: Rhubarb Shrub cocktail... spice, summery arugula salad with Gregory Isakov's arugula from Starling Farm. Pizza with Jake Plummer's mushrooms (lions main, chestnut and pink lobster) from Fort Lupton (we are gonna call this the celebrity dinner), burrata and Chef Tyson's sausage & Cure Farm rapini. Plus banjo on everything, more banjo than you can shake a stick at. Plus squirrels in the trees...I mean what else do you need?

Last night the Clark Boys got into a little pickle on the golf cart that involved off roading, a cemetery and a fence. Luckily we made it out ok, and learned some lessons and even took time to reflect through words in a poem. It's hard to be mad at your kids when you get a poem in the end. I bought this sweet old typewriter and it has really been a focal point for all of us on our kitchen table. The strike and thud of the action of the keys and the indent on the paper.

The last sentence gets me good, maybe because I said it..LOL

"with the right tools you can get outta just about any jam...tin snips, bailing wire and some persistence."

Here's Doug Paisley singing like a little mustachioed birdy in the forest.
