Grateful

Yesterday we held the most Woodstock of family fire relief events ever. BJ from Conscious Alliance called down on Tuesday with concerns about where he'd park their enormous truck filled with 6 pallets of brand new stuff to give away to folks in need. Said he'd been working with Vanessa on logistics. I said who the hell is that? He said I thought she was with you? LOL. I said let's park that truck on Main Street then. Patagonia Boulder sent down clothing that they had collected from across their US stores. Love for Lily did what they always do which is lovingly look after those in need in the toughest of times, and gave away millions of items for moms and babies. We had a good laugh when we realized that someone had put out some forks and knives or something in a box labeled "single serve speculums". Clinical irony of sorts I reckon. I Support The Girls, doTerra and WeeCycle showed up strong as well as did Rainbow from The Merc and Seth and Kevin. Kevin wrangles a few cases of Spicy Ranch from his pals at Cosmos which made a pretty solid sauce in which to layer cheese and pepperoni upon. Free extra strength Tums today for all.

At some point when the crowd thinned out, a slew of musicians mucked through the mud and had a little jambone wham o lamma. I think Charlie from Elephant Revival even riffed a little on the perennial classic "Old Turkey Butterball". Kit from Old Town Picking' Parlour participated in the pizza party too by donning a full pizza skin on his shoulder during an inspired jam.

Our amazing leader Chief Hayes of the Louisville Police Department stopped by (he lost his home too you know) and I had the chance to shake his hand and appreciate him and his team for their tireless work. It felt good. Especially because I wasn't sure if we were breaking laws... I saw some of my Jamestown and Ward friends hide behind the shed. Then I was like "the cops left" and they came back out. :)

Tessa continues to push her creative edge and knocked out this stunning new design for our little horsey trailer. Stay tuned for more on this new friend. I can see our mobile oven and our horse trailer on a farm near you this spring. Theo is trying to get me to hook up a solar rig to power his espresso machine in there.....

Our man G.Brown, Louisville resident and friend stopped by and donated a slew of his amazing books on Colorado Music. G created the Colorado Music Hall of Fame at Red Rocks in the Trading Post and is a true music historian. I've been falling into rabbit holes on his website, and so should you. Check out the Caribou Ranch documentary. Required watching for us Boulder County people.
