Craft Faire & Escoffier Pizza Party
We've got our favorite makers coming out tomorrow for our Local Artisan Craft Faire tomorrow at Moxie Louisville. It going to a beautiful day to grab a capuccino and meet your local makers. That sounds bad, meet your makers, but you get the point. Leigh will be there again with her amazing hand blown glass. She set up her portable furnace last night in Nobo for Art Walk and mesmerized a crowd with magic of melting glass as we slung pies. It was sort of cool to hunker down opposing plots of the parking lot with fire, one fire for making pizza and one for making glass. 10AM- 2 PM
Looking for a way to wind down the week? How about a relaxing evening filled with fun, food and friends? On June 12th, join Moxie Bread Company (at our original Louisville location) and Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts for an amazing night filled with food, live music, and fellowship. On tap for the evening will be locally sourced, hand-crafted food and beverages, including: Fresh, seasonal green salad prepared by Escoffier students and brick-oven pizzasTiramisu and Biscotti created by Escoffier students and faculty.
Rainbow and Mae of The Jamestown Mercantile will be serving up rhubarb gimlets and other heart crafted ridiculously delicious cocktails. Tickets for this unique event are $25 per person. There will be two seatings; 5:00pm and 6:30pm. Due to the exclusivity of this event, there is a 70 person capacity for each seating allowing guests to dine and visit comfortably. We hope you will join us. I am incredibly proud of the Escoffier Institute and the phenomenal talent that they grow for our industry. I actually sit on the advisory board. Tickets available HERE.
Oh, and by the way it's our birthday week! We are 8 years old! In June of 2015 we pushed so hard to be open for the Taste of Louisville and by golly with the help of the amazing staff at the City of Louisville, our staff, family and friends we raised our little barn there on Main Street. What a blessing it has been for us, what a dream it has been for me. I can't thank you enough for supporting this dream for 8 whole years. I love you all. I'll be hanging out with Sage the snuggle pupperoni on Main Street today in front of LuLu's under our Moxie tent hangin out for the Taste of Louisville today from 9 am- 4 pm. Bring an instrument and come pick a while if you want. In honor of our birthday we've come up with some new logos for Moxie. These are pandemic logos that are soft, happy and cheery and meant to soften up these tough times a bit. Thanks to our graphic designer Abimbola Olatunbolson at Queens College in NYC!
